RoCk TH3 HoUs3!

Open mic was a night to remember. When we got called up to play me and Cayli was so nervous! We were finally like making our dream come true. This was the thought running through my wee little head at the time: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

There wasn't too many people there, thirty....fourty....fifty....sixty.... enough to make us very nervous tater tots. For our first act Cayli and I chose Famous Last Words by the ABSOLUTELY LOVED My Chemical Romance ;D LOL. There was a slight problem amp wise though. I wanted a metal distorted sound, and all they had was clean. I'm like, I'm not trying to lull the crowd Im trying to rock the crowd, but i didn't say it of course. I just took what they had and made the very best of it.

Cayli did so incredibly goody! I was like woo omg go cayli! She kept forgetting the words a bit so I had to sing her back in a couple of times. Its totally fine though, because this was our first open mic, and it was like a test run almost, you know? So we rocked the house. After we finished everyone clapped like mad monkies. I felt a surge of power run through me. That was some powerful clapter.

I did a second solo act after we had gone through the list of amazing talented people. I played a clean version of This Suffering by (americans love canadians) Billy Talent :D! My favorite canadian band in the whole universe and japan! I messed up on little things a lot through the whole song because I started playing it about three weeks ago. But everyone told me I did amazingly. Maybe I did, I doubt I didn't LOL :).

One lesson learned from this night: I can really sing! I mean like really well too. Yesh it surprised me as well. Haha I love open mic! I can't wait til next time.
